St. Patrick's Day Dinner
at Cafe 119, Manlius

Cafe 119 served up a wonderfully prepared traditional Irish Dinner
of Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes & Carrots.

The evening was filed with lively conversation and good spirits.

TOWN OF MANLIUS REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE
ELECTS SLATE FOR FALL ELECTION!

On Thursday evening, March 26, 2009 The Town of Manlius Republican Committee met for a special meeting to nominate and elect its slate of officers for the November election.

Presiding over the meeting was Francine Goldstein, Town of Manlius Republican Committee Vice-Chair. Assisting with the rules and balloting were Helen Kiggins, Commissioner of the Board of Elections, John DeSpirito, Onondaga County Republican Party Chair, Carole Marsh, Town of Pompey Republican Committee Chair, and Ellen O'Leary, TOMRC Secretary.

There are 70 people on the Town Committee and 57 were present at the meeting. Most of the remainder voted by absentee ballot.

The number and quality of potential candidates seeking nomination this year was very encouraging. Our party is defined by those willing to stand and serve. Thank You to all of you who stood for nomination this year!!

After the nominations, seconds, speeches and voting the winning slate was elected by the committee:

Town Supervisor - Edmond Theobald
Town Board - Karen Green, Vince Giordano, David Marnell
Town Justice - Robert O'Leary
Receiver of Taxes - Laura Peschel
Town Clerk- Allison Edsall
Highway Superintendent - Rob Cushing

We are very pleased to have selected such a diversified group of candidates representing a cross section of our Town. These candidates bring with them a wealth of knowledge, experience, integrity and commitment. In these challenging times our candidates and our committee members look forward to a bright future for our Town of Manlius.

2008 Christmas Party!!!

Held at the Fayetteville Senior Center on December 14th.

We had over 40 people in attendance. Santa was a hit with everybody. It was a relaxed informal event and a great opportunity enjoy company without any work agenda.
