On December 7th, Manlius Republican candidates, elected officials and Committee Members gathered at the Seneca Brew Pub to "Roast" Committee Chairman Hank Chapman and pay tribute to all of the people who worked so hard on this year's campaign.
County Legislator Kevin Holmquist, Town Supervisor Ed Theobald, Town Councilors John Loeffler, Nick Marzola and Karen Green and Town Judge Bob O'Leary were among the presenters to speak about Hank and thank our team for all of their efforts.
A special honor came when Hank's wife, Jenn, gave an emotional testimony to all of the time and heart Hank put into this campaign.
About 50 people were in attendance and enjoyed some good laughs, conversation and great food. "It's now on to 2019!" according to Chairman Chapman.
Hank Chapman is a former Town Supervisor for the Town of Manlius and has served as Town of Manlius Republican Committee Chairman for 16 years.
Congressman John Katko was the guest speaker at the breakfast meeting of the Manlius Republican Committee's Liberty Club on Monday, just hours before returning to Washington to begin deliberations on the GOP's tax reform proposal.
The Congressman enlightened Liberty Club members about the process involved in passing this important legislation and the many benefits expected for our economy with its passage.
As always, Congressman Katko stressed his efforts to always vote based on what is best for the taxpayers in his district.
Katko was the fourth of four speakers to the Liberty Club this year, following Onondaga County Republican Chairman Tom Dadey in March, State Senate Deputy Majority Leader John DeFrancisco in May, and a panel discussion with Town Supervisor Ed Theobald, Village of Minoa Mayor Bill Brazill, Fayetteville Mayor Mark Olson and Village of Manlius Mayor Paul Whorrall in September.
