Manlius Republicans receive endorsement of Onondaga County Veterans Party
Sherene Pavone recently received the endorsement of the Onondaga County Veterans Party in her race for Manlius Town Board.
The rest of the Republican slate was endorsed in July, including Sherene's running mates for Town Board John Loeffler, Nick Marzola and Lourdes Rosario as well as County Legislator Kevin Holmquist.
A 27-year town resident, Sherene is an attorney in private practice, mother of three, and first-time candidate for office. She has specialized in family court and matrimonial law for 23+ years and has her law office in Manlius. She is a bilingual, first generation Iranian-American, who has been honored for her legal advocacy for children and is a member of the CNY Collaborative Group board of directors and co-leads the premarital ministry at her church.
As town councilor, Sherene says she will foster a collaborative environment that welcomes diverse viewpoints to ensure the highest quality of services for town residents. She has broad professional experience reaching constructive solutions in often difficult, emotionally-charged situations and plans to bring those resolution skills to the table on behalf of constituents. Sherene is a graduate of the University of Rochester and Syracuse University College of Law and enjoys music, running and travel.
"Although they no longer have an official line on the ballot, it is always a great honor to be endorsed by this bipartisan group of veterans," said Manlius Republican Chairman Hank Chapman. "Our veterans have given so much to our community, it is especially heartening that they recognize the excellent slate of candidates we have running this fall."
